High doses of Vitamin C through IV has been effective in a number of patients. In general it is effective for many cancer patients but very effective with Leukemia (Blood Cancer) patients.
Vitamin C restricts the flow of blood to the tumor cell hence reducing the growth and in some cases eliminating the tumor altogether.
Vitamin C is synthesized from D-glucose or D-galactose by many plants and animals. However, humans lack the enzyme L-gulonolactone oxidase required for ascorbic acid synthesis and must obtain vitamin C through food or supplements.
